PRSA National Capital Chapter Announces 2006 Board of Directors |

Society of America National Capital Chapter (PRSA-NCC) today announced
its 2006 slate of elected officers, board of directors, and assembly
delegates.

PRSA NATIONAL CAPITAL CHAPTER ANNOUNCES 2006 BOARD OF DIRECTORS
WASHINGTON,
November, 15, 2005 – The Public Relations Society of America National
Capital Chapter (PRSA-NCC) today announced its 2006 slate of elected
officers, board of directors, and assembly delegates. The Board
oversees the chapter’s more than 30 annual professional development and
awards programs designed to advance professionalism and support career
growth. The 2006 Board of Directors and Executive Committee will be
installed at the Chapter’s Holiday Reception, Dec. 8, at 6 p.m. at the
Georgetown University Conference Center.

joined PRSA to network and achieve more in my professional
advancement,” said Tracy Schario, 2006 NCC president and director of
media relations for The George Washington University. “Nearly a decade
later, the chapter continues to excel at fostering career development.
I look forward to working with the board to provide opportunities for
our members to achieve new heights in their personal endeavors and to
continue the promotion of public relations education and best practices
in advocacy.”
Schario
is joined by 12 newly elected members of the board of directors and two
assembly delegates, as well as two returning directors, who are serving
two-year terms, and eight returning assembly delegates. The
Chapter’s leadership team is composed of the president and the
executive officers of the board:
- Sandra Wills Hannon, Ph.D., APR, NCC president-elect and principal of The Hannon Group
- Sean O’Neill, APR, NCC treasurer and principal of Symmetrix Public Relations
- Mary-Jane Atwater, APR, NCC Secretary and president of Atwater Communications
- Sally McDonough. NCC vice president and vice president of the Social Marketing Practice at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide
- Scott Shaw, NCC vice president and president and founder of CreatiVerge Communications, Inc.
- Christina Rubalcaba-Swanwick, NCC vice president and business development manager for PR Newswire.
- Bob Bryant, APR, NCC immediate past president and is chief of command information for Defense Information Systems Agency
