 This videocast features the PRSA-NCC Luncheon with Peter
Bergen, CNN Journalist, on the topic of Providing Insights on Terrorism Today. The event took place on Thursday, August 23 at
the Capital Hilton and was presented by the NCC International Committee.
Internationally respected journalist and terrorism
analyst for CNN, Peter Bergen, offered an insightful progress report on the war
on terrorism. Having produced bin Laden's first television interview, Mr.
Bergen provided first-hand accounts with behind the scenes insights on domestic
and international terrorism activities. The author of numerous books, Mr.
Bergen's newest book, “The Osama bin Laden I Know: An Oral History of al
Qaeda's Leader,” was named one of the best non-fiction books of 2006 by The
Washington Post and was translated into French, Spanish and Polish. CNN
produced a two-hour documentary "In the Footsteps of bin Laden" based
on the book that aired around the fifth anniversary of 9/11. Bergen is one of the producers of the CNN
documentary.
