In this economy, you might be experiencing clients that are slow to pay or even clients that never pay you for your services. This IPRA lunch program features an attorney discussing how to protect your business in these challenging economic times. If you experience a client who is slow to pay, we will learn what initial steps to take. If your initial steps don’t yield results, we will learn when to consult an attorney, and finally, whether it’s worth your while to take that client to court.

Our speaker is attorney Ron Katz who has specialized in preventing no pay/slow pay clients and in recovering owed monies for his clients. For more than 28 years, Katz has advised a diverse client base including banks, real estate developers, contractors, accountants, engineers and other professionals, as well as commercial and retail businesses and individuals. He is dedicated to providing prompt and aggressive legal representation in matters such as business planning, creditors’ rights, and civil and commercial litigation. He has presented many lectures concerning creditors’ rights and bankruptcy to business groups.

Katz is admitted to practice before the courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, The Supreme Court of the United States, The United States District Courts and Bankruptcy Courts in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
