Event Details: Fun, cocktail hour event with light hors d’oeuvres aimed at helping members develop winning award entries for PRSA-NCC’s signature award competition. Selected prior year winners from various categories will mix, mingle and graciously “share the secrets” of winning a coveted Thoth award. Socialize with past award winners at this one-of-a-kind event!
Don’t Be Disqualified. The number one reason that entries are disqualified is that the summaries do not address all criteria. Past Thoth award winners will demystify the process, and help you understand how to position your PR campaign or project, how to write and edit your proposal, and how to manage difficult aspects of the award application.
Win More Awards! Entry requirements for Thoth programs and components closely follow the PRSA Silver and Bronze Anvil awards – if you already submit for the Anvils, don’t miss this opportunity to get the most out of your entry by submitting on the local level, too. Submit for the Thoth Awards and give your campaign twice the opportunity to win!
Deadlines: Early Bird entries: Friday, May 23, 2008
Standard entries: May 24- June 6, 2008
WHAT ARE THE THOTH AWARDS? Named for the Egyptian god of communication, the Thoth (pronounced “tot”) Awards recognize the most outstanding, strategic public relations programs and components developed and produced in the Greater Washington area. Achievements are recognized in 27 categories, including 14 program categories that celebrate the very best PR campaigns and 13 component categories that highlight top accomplishments in PR tactics.
