PRSA NATIONAL CAPITAL CHAPTER ANNOUNCES 2014 BOARD OF DIRECTORS

FAIRFAX, Va. Dec. 19, 2013 – The Public Relations Society of America’s National Capital Chapter (PRSA-NCC) today announced its 2014 slate of elected officers, board of directors, and assembly delegates. The board, led by incoming chapter president Rebecca B. Andersen, APR, oversees the chapter’s more than 50 annual professional development and awards programs designed to advance professionalism and support career growth.

“2014 will be an exciting year for our chapter. We are honored to once again host the 2014 PRSA International Conference. In addition, this year will be a year of anniversaries, as we celebrate the 65th anniversary of our chapter and the 50th anniversary of the national Accreditation of Public Relations. With so many notable events during the year ahead, I am happy to work with such a strong leadership team on our 2014 board of directors,” said Andersen.

According to the 2013 chapter president Samantha Villegas, “Rebecca is inheriting a healthy organization. This year, we grew our membership by three percent, we significantly grew our engagement level on social media, we delivered more than 60 programs, and finished the year in the black. My best to Rebecca and the leadership team for another banner year.”
